CY­CLING, PAD­DLE BOARD­ING AND SOME HEALTHY VE­GAN FOOD

Fam­ily time

My hus­band is of­ten away on busi­ness trips so we try to make the most out of the time when­ever we are to­gether. Ad­di­tion­ally, as a work­ing mother with two boys, I don’t get to spend much time with my sons. So week­ends are ded­i­cated to spend­ing qual­ity time with fam­ily.

Cy­cling in Al Qu­dra

We’re a ‘sport­ing’ fam­ily. So dur­ing week­ends, we try to fit in some ex­er­cise rou­tines, and it’s good for my sons too. More­over, it helps us bond as a fam­ily. On Fri­days, we go cy­cling at Al Qu­dra. It is def­i­nitely a won­der­ful way to de-stress, es­pe­cially af­ter a busy work week! We usu­ally go there be­fore dawn. That way, we get to watch the sun­rise. There’s no bet­ter feel­ing than watch­ing the sun come up over the sand dunes when you’re cy­cling. It re­lieves you of ten­sions. Some­times we spot camels and oryx. We also see horses trot­ting there.

Pad­dling at Kite Beach

We of­ten go pad­dle board­ing at Kite Beach. It’s one of our favourite beaches! Spend­ing the morn­ing on the seashore is an­other great way to re­lax, and it’s a fun fam­ily ac­tiv­ity. We usu­ally end our morn­ing out with a run on the beach track. There are lots of stalls and ac­tiv­i­ties on the beach, so we spend a few hours there.

Time for ve­gan

I like eat­ing veg­e­tar­ian and ve­gan fare. I’m a big be­liever in healthy and fresh food. It com­ple­ments our ac­tive lifestyles! My sons too like try­ing out new cuisines and flavours. They too like clean eat­ing.
