Set in New­cas­tle, Daniel is a kind-hearted soul who re­lies on state wel­fare as a re­sult of an ac­ci­dent which has left him un­able to work. When the gov­ern­ment deems him fit to re­turn to his job, but his doc­tor stren­u­ously ad­vises against it, Daniel is caught in the Kafkaesque bu­reau­cracy that blights thou­sands with dis­abil­i­ties try­ing to make a gen­uine claim for relief.
