ZOO
Another World War II movie, this one is a tad more heart-warming than Overlord. Based on a true story, when Britain entered the war and the Nazi air force began their bombing campaigns, all large and potentially dangerous animals were ordered to be put down in case they should escape as a result of the raids. At Belfast Zoo, 12-year-old Tom has formed an unlikely bond with a baby elephant. With the help of his friends, Tom rescues the creature and they look to survive on the run in Northern Ireland. Rotten Tomatoes gives it 88%.
