Electronic scraps gutted in massive Sharjah fire
sharjah — A massive fire gutted a huge scrap area belonging to a company in Sharjah. No casualties have been reported.
The area contained scraps of automobiles, electronics and electric devices, which were all gutted by the blaze, as it spread quickly due to the wind.
Firefighters of Sharjah Civil Defence battled to contain the fire that erupted in the company’s fenced scrap area in Al Sajjah Industrial Area.

defence stations were also sent to prevent the fire from spreading and causing more damages to the surrounding areas.
The fire was put out completely at 1.30pm and cooling operations started at 1.40pm to prevent the reoccurring of the fire. The cooling operation ended at 4pm, said the civil defence.
Forensic experts will examine the cause of the fire.
