Sweets, cakes in high demand

Demand for cakes and sweets is high during Eid days as people buy these items as gift for their relatives.

The prices of sweets range between Rs250 to Rs500 per kg in various known outlets of the city. The average price of sweets in the City is Rs300 per kg. Similarly, the price of cake starts from Rs150 per pound and goes up to Rs500. Usually two-pound cakes are given as Eid gifts. —
