Multi-pronged pro­mo­tional strate­gies

The Ital­ian Trade Agency has de­signed a multi-pronged strat­egy to help Ital­ian com­pa­nies ap­proach the UAE mar­ket. Firstly, it focuses on in­creas­ing the pres­ence of Ital­ian SMEs in main food trade fairs in the coun­try, such as Spe­cial­ity Food Fes­ti­val, Gul­food or Taste of Abu Dhabi, as these are im­por­tant pro­mo­tional plat­forms to ap­proach the mar­ket.

Dur­ing these events, it aims to in­ten­sify com­mu­ni­ca­tion ac­tiv­i­ties to im­prove aware­ness among con­sumers and distrib­u­tors about the qual­ity and unique­ness of Ital­ian prod­ucts through sem­i­nars and culi­nary demon­stra­tions per­formed by pro­fes­sional chefs.

The Agency is now dou­bling its ef­forts to pro­vide ex­pert ad­vice to Ital­ian firms about mar­ket and com­pli­ance reg­u­la­tions re­quired to be able to sell their prod­ucts in the mar­ket.

With a fo­cus on ac­ces­si­bil­ity, the Ital­ian Trade Agency is cur­rently en­gag­ing in a strate­gic part­ner­ship with one of the largest re­tail chains in the re­gion, the LuLu Group, for the ded­i­cated pro­mo­tion of Ital­ian food prod­ucts within their rep­re­sen­ta­tive hy­per­mar­kets in the Gulf re­gion.
