14-year-old boy killed in RAK run-over accident
ras al khaimah — A 14-yearold Syrian boy succumbed to his injuries after a car ran over him while he was riding his bicycle on a public road in Ras Al Khaimah.
The victim was heading to a stationery shop around 10.45pm, according to the boy’s father. “The driver of the car did not notice my son and ran over him while he was crossing the road,” he said.
The central operations room of the RAK Police, having been alerted of the accident, dispatched a traffic police patrol, an ambulance, paramedics and rescue teams to the site.
The boy, identified as Belal, sustained grave injuries and fractures all over his body and bled to death, according to medical sources.
