Vol­un­teer­ing of­fers vi­tal help to peo­ple in need. It also brings a sense of self-pride, iden­tity and con­fi­dence. To es­tab­lish Dubai as the most giv­ing city in the world, the ‘Day for Dubai’ ini­tia­tive was launched in De­cem­ber 2017 by Sheikh Ham­dan bin Mo­hammed bin Rashid Al Mak­toum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chair­man of the Dubai Ex­ec­u­tive Coun­cil. The ini­tia­tive en­cour­ages the com­mu­nity to ded­i­cate a day in a year to do vol­un­teer work. From to­day,

will be fea­tur­ing a reg­u­lar se­ries spot­light­ing mem­bers of the UAE com­mu­nity who are lever­ag­ing their time, knowl­edge, and skills to give back to the coun­try and its peo­ple

In line with the di­rec­tives of His High­ness Sheikh Mo­hammed bin Rashid Al Mak­toum, Vice-Pres­i­dent and Prime Min­is­ter of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Day for Dubai was launched in De­cem­ber 2017 by Sheikh Ham­dan bin Mo­hammed bin Rashid Al Mak­toum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chair­man of the Ex­ec­u­tive Coun­cil. The ini­tia­tive en­cour­ages the com­mu­nity to ded­i­cate a cu­mu­la­tive of 24 hours a year for vol­un­teer work. Day for Dubai high­lights 14 cat­e­gories in­clud­ing: El­derly; chil­dren and youth; peo­ple of de­ter­mi­na­tion; ed­u­ca­tion; men­tor­ing; health; com­mu­nity sup­port; sport and re­cre­ation; cul­ture and arts; en­vi­ron­ment and wildlife; tol­er­ance and hope; emer­gency pre­pared­ness; in­ter­na­tional vol­un­teer­ing; and oth­ers.
