Artistic interpretation

The “First Day” is a neat and conceptual rendering of this grand beginning: the dark abyss, secret and vast unknown elements, the division between lightness and darkness. Edem Couture's latest collection is made up of several stylistic blocks, symbolising various stages in the Creation of Water, Earth, Day and Night. Light and dark hues reflect each other intentionally; they are mirror images, executed in identical fabrics, in light and dark colours. Black and white blend with natural luxurious fabrics, embroidery is used both for a watery effect and one, which conveys particles of matter in the making. Sheer fabrics – lace, organza and silk, weightless as though dissolving in the air, let in light.

The collection is infused with an array of colours from deep black to shades reminiscent of sky and water, pastel tones of heavenly pale blue and tinkling white. Distinguishing features can be found in revolutionary tailoring, unique needlework, unusual colour and fabric combinations, folds of cloth and a perfect fusion of classic architectural shapes filled with artistic content.

The designs are quite different, starting with light layered dresses and finishing with pared-down stricter silhouettes. On the one hand they reflect a rebellious and liberated mood, on the other – softness and tenderness. Intriguing and dazzling, the collection inspires

The new couture collection from fashion house EDEM is the first of seven limited edition collections imagined by the designer as an artistic interpretation of the creation of the universe.

admiration and fantasy for the inner beauty of every women who choses to wear them. EDEM'S style is defined by minimalism but at the same time, it is complex and high-spirited, unafraid of playing with colour and texture. It is worth mentioning that all designs are handmade by experienced professionals who maintain superior quality standards, turning each piece into an objet d'art.

Edem's style is all about revolutionary tailoring, unique needlework, and unusual colour and fabric combinations...
