Batna double keeps Clarets top of the tree
Wingers Mourad Batna and Balazs Dzsudzsak pounced in injury time as leaders Al Wahda fought back from a goal down to beat Al Dhafra 3-1, maintaining their 100-per-cent start to the 2017/18 Arabian Gulf League.
Morocco midfielder Adil Hermach headed the Western Knights into an early lead at Al Nahyan Stadium, summer buy Batna converting on the hour after Dzsudzsak (above) missed a first competitive penalty of his career. Batna then nodded the Clarets ahead for his second injury-time winner in succession. Dzsudzsak soon finished from a tight angle to seal the victory.
Meanwhile, Sebastian Saez struck a hat-trick as Emirates Club thrashed Hatta 4-0.
The Argentine headed the Falcons in front, before scoring from the penalty spot two minutes after the interval. Ex-Liverpool winger Sebastian Leto tapped in the third, Saez then sealing his hattrick at the death.
