Feel the Burn @ Real Pi­lates

The Dubai-based sanc­tu­ary of well­ness, Real Pi­lates, has added a pop­u­lar new class to the timetable. Body Burn is a unique train­ing pro­gramme de­signed for clients who want to im­prove strength, power, en­durance and agility, with­out hav­ing to go to a tra­di­tional gym en­vi­ron­ment.

Body Burn is a high-en­ergy class that com­bines func­tional move­ment ex­er­cises with Pi­lates. Dur­ing this class par­tic­i­pants will get their heart rate up with a se­ries of short in­ter­vals con­sist­ing of squats, lunges and other full body ex­er­cises, that are de­signed to chal­lenge the car­dio­vas­cu­lar sys­tem as well as im­prove en­durance. At the same time, Pi­lates move­ments will also be taught, with an em­pha­sis on ab­dom­i­nals, lower back and up­per body strength­en­ing. Ex­er­cises will in­clude push ups, ab curls and side bends as well as more Pi­lates ‘favourites’ like the Hun­dred, Shoul­der Bridges and Roll Up.

The in­struc­tors put a lot of em­pha­sis on tech­nique through­out the work­out to re­duce the risk of in­jury and gain maximum re­sults.
