Dortmund CEO puts a flea in Schurrle's ear
Borussia Dortmund chief admits record signing Andre Schurrle has been a flop since his arrival in 2016 with the Germany winger linked to a loan spell at Inter Milan.
Dortmund signed Schurrle from Wolfsburg for a clubrecord €30 million (Dh134m) in July 2016, but he has failed to impress in an injury-ravaged spell.
“Frankly and honestly, both sides are – as of now – not yet satisfied,” said Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke. Schurrle’s agent has recently mentioned a possible loan spell at Inter Milan, but Watzke suggested the player should “maybe research the root cause” of his form.
