HOW TO… WATCH THE WORLD CUP IN 4K

Stuff Middle East - - Versus 4k Tvs -

Although this year’s World Cup is being filmed in Ultra HD, neither the Beeb nor ITV have confirmed they will broadcast this footage. But don’t start blubbing like Gazza just yet – there’s a fair old chance things will change on this front. Auntie has already made Blue Planet available to stream in 4K via its iPlayer, so its tech is at least somewhat ready. Also, Sky Deutschland has acquired the UHD World Cup rights from free-to-air broadcasters in Germany, meaning there’s a chance we’ll see its British equivalent do the same over here. And if none of this turns out to be the case? Both these 4K sets do an awesome job with old-fashioned Full HD resolution anyway.
