Pakistan Social Centre (PSC), Sharjah, announced up to 100 per cent scholarships for outstanding Pakistani students to study at the Global Learning Centre (GLC) University, UAE, which has

afiliation with universities from

Malaysia, UK and the US. PSC Sharjah, in association with GLC University, signed the MOU to provide scholarships to the young expat students who have shown

distinguished performance in their

schools in the UAE. Khalid Hussain Chaudhry, President of PSC Sharjah, said the scholarships will cover

50 to 100 per cent of the tuition

fees based on the marks secured

by the applicants. Chaudhry said, “Pakistan Social Centre, Sharjah, believes in shaping the future of the next generation and will reach out

to the leaders of tomorrow. “This scholarship programme is a stepping

stone to support and encourage the

community’s best students,” added Chaudhry. Masood Ahmed, Education

and Cultural Secretary of PSC,

emphasised the need for education

which is an indispensable tool to tackle

most of the challenges in life. The

knowledge attained through education

opens doors to a better tomorrow. Dr S. M. Tahir, Chairman, GLC University,

which is part of the scholarship

venture, urged the community members to take advantage of this scholarship programme at the

earliest so that the students could

gain timely beneit from this offer. The application deadline for the

scholarship is Sept.30.
