MMRDA selects Simplex for 2B corridor project
MUMBAI: The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) announced it had selected Simplex Infrastructures for a package on the upcoming Mumbai Metro 2B corridor.
The company will design and build a 12-km-long viaduct and 11 stations in the first part on the DN Nagar-mankhurd corridor at a cost of Rs1,080 crore, which was the lowest among all bids received, said a top MMRDA official.
“It will be awarded to the contractor company after the executive committee’s approval. It is another important step towards developing the metro network in the city, which is the need of the hour,” MMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner U.P.S. Madan said.
