FBC DXB (Fitness Bootcamp Dubai), the most renowned itness company in Dubai, and which has been in the region for over four years now, is led by coach Mostafa Mersal, who has created a new itness challenge under the name of the “ABS Challenge”.

The programme designed by coach Mostafa includes all types of bodyweight and weight lifting exercises to strengthen the core and tighten the abs for an entire month. The focus of the challenge relies on how many crunches each participant can perform during a period of three minutes.

Typically, a crunch is an exercise to make your stomach latter.

Even though they are mainly just performed as a core working exercise and burn relatively less calories in comparison to other exercises, they are extremely beneficial in helping to build abs when performed correctly.

The outcome of the last edition of this challenge which occurred just recently on Kite Beach and Core Fit Studio in Dubai, showcased great results and surpassed all expectations, while also witnessing the winner and runner ups.

The winners, who were announced by coach Mostafa were Jonathan Laperdrix who was able to record an astonishing record of crunches 199, followed by Ahmad Zahran, who came in second with 150 crunches. Adel Samir came in a close third with 149 crunches. As for the ladies, the winner who was able to crunch 140 times was Tiphanie Dejoie followed by Rana Hariz who came in second with 114 crunches. Lena Joulahjian came in third by crunching 105 times.

The “ABS Challenge” competition lasted for an entire week in different locations in Dubai, allowing all participants to compete, test, and showcase their capabilities in crunching, while also showcasing the progress which they have made from the beginning of the month till the end.
