Global watch com­mu­nity to gather for 4th edi­tion of horol­ogy fo­rum in Lon­don

Dubai Watch Week and Christie’s are de­lighted to share the new de­vel­op­ments on the irst in­ter­na­tional chap­ter of the Horol­ogy Fo­rum.

This year the panel top­ics range

from ‘Bat­tle of the Sooth­say­ers’, an in­depth dis­cus­sion on the fu­ture of time and the rel­e­vance of code to ‘Cul­tural Clout – the ibuyer Cult’ where we ex­am­ine the ef­fects of the dig­i­tal age and the ac­cess to in­for­ma­tion that is linked to watch buy­ing.

At­ten­dees will dis­cuss the clas­sic bat­tle be­tween David and Go­liath; the sta­tus be­tween the most pow­er­ful & small play­ers in the horol­ogy in­dus­try and ad­dress de­sign vs. move­ment at a panel ti­tled ‘Putting a in­ger on it: Genta and Daniels’ punc­tual yet un­timely legacy’. The agenda also in­cludes a panel fo­cus­ing on the Bri­tish Watch In­dus­try and what it has to of­fer.

To­gether with Christie’s, Dubai Watch Week will be or­ga­niz­ing the irst Auc­tion­eer work­shop for me­dia, giv­ing them irst-hand ex­pe­ri­ence in the art of auc­tion sales. Ad­di­tion­ally, the sched­ule of events in­cludes “the Roast” where au­di­ence mem­bers will ask the ‘Roast Pan­elists’ Carte Blanche ques­tions to fur­ther en­rich a gen­uine ex­change of in­for­ma­tion and ideas.
