PDO awards con­tract to Omani-ja­panese con­sor­tium

MUS­CAT: Petroleum De­vel­op­ment Oman (PDO) awarded a con­tract to build a 100-megawatt photo voltaic in­de­pen­dent power pro­ducer plant to an Omani-ja­panese con­sor­tium, the firm said on Tues­day.

The Marubeni Con­sor­tium is led by the Ja­panese Marubeni Corp, and in­cludes Oman Gas Co, Bah­wan Re­new­able En­ergy Com­pany and Mod­ern Chan­nels Ser­vices, the state­ment added. Petroleum De­vel­op­ment Oman (PDO) is the lead­ing ex­plo­ration and pro­duc­tion com­pany in the Sul­tanate of Oman. We de­liver the ma­jor­ity of the coun­try’s crude oil pro­duc­tion and nat­u­ral gas sup­ply, but above all we fo­cus on de­liv­er­ing ex­cel­lence, growth and sus­tain­able value cre­ation within and well be­yond our in­dus­try.
