UAE, Mali sign MOU on se­cu­rity co­op­er­a­tion

ABU DHABI: The UAE and the Repub­lic of Mali have signed a Me­moran­dum of Un­der­stand­ing (MOU) on se­cu­rity co­op­er­a­tion and counter-ter­ror­ism.

In the pres­ence of His High­ness Sheikh Mo­hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Com­man­der of the UAE Armed Forces, and Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, Pres­i­dent of Mali, Lt. Gen­eral Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Min­is­ter and Min­is­ter of the In­te­rior, and Salif Traore, Malian Min­is­ter of Se­cu­rity and Civil Pro­tec­tion, signed the MOU.

The MOU aims at en­hanc­ing joint co­op­er­a­tion and co­or­di­na­tion be­tween the UAE Min­istry of the In­te­rior and the Malian Min­istry of Se­cu­rity and Civil Pro­tec­tion, with re­gard to com­bat­ing dif­fer­ent types of crimes, ex­change of in­for­ma­tion and best po­lice prac­tices.

Present on the oc­ca­sion were Reem Bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Min­is­ter of State for In­ter­na­tional Co­op­er­a­tion, and Mo­hamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Un­der-sec­re­tary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, and the del­e­ga­tion ac­com­pa­ny­ing the Pres­i­dent of Mali.
