Saudi King Sal­man re­ceives Ma­ronite Pa­tri­arch Bechara

RIYADH: King Sal­man Bin Ab­du­laziz Al Saud of Saudi Ara­bia, Cus­to­dian of the Two Holy Mosques, on Tues­day re­ceived Car­di­nal Mar Bechara Boutros Al Rahi, Ma­ronite Pa­tri­arch of An­ti­och and All the East.

Dur­ing the meet­ing, the par­ties dis­cussed fra­ter­nal re­la­tions be­tween the King­dom and Le­banon, and stressed the im­por­tance of the role of dif­fer­ent re­li­gions and cul­tures in pro­mot­ing tol­er­ance, re­nounc­ing vi­o­lence, ex­trem­ism and ter­ror­ism and achiev­ing se­cu­rity and peace for the peo­ples of the re­gion and the world.

The pa­tri­arch and the king “re­viewed fra­ter­nal re­la­tions be­tween the king­dom and Le­banon and conirmed the im­por­tance of the role of dif­fer­ent re­li­gions and cul­tures in pro­mot­ing tol­er­ance, re­nounc­ing vi­o­lence, ex­trem­ism and ter­ror­ism,” the state-run Saudi Press Agency said.

Rahi also met Crown Prince Mo­hammed Bin Sal­man dur­ing the trip.
