Twit­ter said that tweets around Ra­madan and Eid Al Fitr this year in­creased to 118 mil­lion world­wide. Twit­ter re­leased a Eid-themed emoji that it said em­bod­ies the spir­i­tual as­pect of Eid. The top tweet glob­ally was by Prince Khalid bin Talal, (@Khalid_BinTalal) who launched a com­pe­ti­tion ex­clu­sively on Twit­ter that ad­dressed daily ques­tions through­out Ra­madan around the Mus­lim faith, the firm said.
