The specialising piece is in created bespoke by computers Cottin Paris, and a technological French company accessories.

A “marriage of fine art and technology”, Cottin’s computers come with Windows 8 Pro and an Intel Core i7 3.2 GHz turbo boost. They take an impressive 15 seconds to start up and three seconds to shut down. A high-definition, 15.6-inch screen is fitted with 0.8mm diamond glazing, while the keyboard is made of pure, diamond-engraved aluminium. Beyond that, clients can choose from an almost unlimited range of luxury finishings – there is the choice of precious metals, including gold, bronze and nickel, or marquetry for the computer casing, which can also be engraved. For the palm rests, clients can choose from a range of luxurious leathers, while a decorative bar can be made from wood, precious stones and metals, or anything else that your heart may desire. The Shamsah Troisors was created in collaboration with Sara Bran, a “dentellière sur” or gold lacemaker, and was inspired by the iconography of Islamic Art. Bran spent 30 hours completing the drawing itself, while the handcra ed lacemaking process took more than

200 hours. A team of jewellers then spent a further 100 hours bringing Bran’s creation to life, which involved crimping 16 pear-shaped diamonds into the 0.5mm-wide gold lace design that features on the exterior of the piece. The computer is plated in 24K pale gold, which was also used for the decorative bar. Palm rests are made of ivory-coloured alligator leather. All of the company’s computers come with a twoyear warranty and two year’s access to the global concierge

service, UUU. Having been on show at the Mashreq VIP Lounge during Art Dubai, the Shamsah Troisors is now on sale at Cottin’s newly opened shop in Dubai’s Emirates Tower.
