De­scribed by its maker as a “unique col­lec­tion for those who are not afraid to make a state­ment in colour”, Yves Saint Lau­rent’s new Col­lec­tion Le Fuch­sia sees the fash­ion brand fully in­tent on bring­ing back one of its sig­na­ture hues. The pinker-than-pink shade was used for YSL’s orig­i­nal No 19 Le Fuch­sia lip­stick back in 1979, which im­me­di­ately di­vided opin­ion – its in­ten­sity be­ing too much for more con­ser­va­tive types, who viewed it as al­most scan­dalous. Still, it kick-started a vivid colour rev­o­lu­tion and now it’s back with a bang. Le Fuch­sia is YSL Beauté’s first of col­lec­tion to be launched ex­clu­sively on­line, and is avail­able in the UAE only through Sephora.com. The col­lec­tion is made up of a wide range of prod­ucts: Rouge Pur Cou­ture No 19, No 78, No 79 and No 80 (each a lim­ited-edi­tion lip­stick); four other matte lip­stick for­mu­las, named Ta­touage Cou­ture; three mas­caras; a matte black eye­liner; and four nail pol­ishes.
