WADA CLIMBDOWN FOR RUSADA
Russian Anti-Doping Agency (Rusada) can now plan and coordinate testing, the World Anti-Doping Agency said yesterday. Rusada can use its trained doping control officers, under the supervision of Wada-appointed international experts and the British Anti-Doping Agency, a Wada statement said. In 2015, the Russian agency was branded non-compliant, and Wada said in May Russia would remain an outcast until four key demands are met. Chief among them was Yelena Isinbayeva’s removal from Rusada and her replacement with an independent chairperson.
