This week’s bru­tal chem­i­cal weapons at­tack in Syria is a sign that the civil war that has torn the coun­try apart and in­flamed the re­gion shows no sign of end­ing. Timely, then, this sea­son of ex­hi­bi­tions in Lon­don at the Im­pe­rial War Mu­seum. Sergey Pono­marev: A Lens on Syria will show­case the Rus­sian Pulitzer Prize-win­ning pho­tog­ra­pher’s work from the coun­try. More than 60 pho­tographs will be on dis­play. It sits along­side Syria: Story of a Con­flict, a show on the ori­gins, spread and wider con­se­quences of the war, through video and ob­jects.
