Enjoy Sharjah’s Biennial in an Istanbul mansion
An exhibition marking the culmination of one of Sharjah Biennial 13’s international projects has opened in Istanbul. Bahar, meaning spring, is one of four programmes – the others being held in Beirut, Dakar and Ramallah – designed to bring Sharjah’s headline art event to a wider audience. The exhibition follows a series of talks and performances in the Turkish city on the theme of latency. The show features commissioned works by artists Onur Gökmen, Sena Basöz, Fatma Belkıs, Ali Taptık and Deniz Tortum. Bahar is being shown at the Abud Efendi Mansion in Sultanahmet until June 10.
