Spirinac set for new role at Dubai Desert Clas­sic

Pro­fes­sional fe­male golfer and In­sta­gram star Paige Spi­ranac has an­nounced that she will be the of­fi­cial starter at the Omega Dubai Desert Clas­sic next year. Tak­ing place at Emi­rates Golf Club on Jan­uary 25-28, the Desert Clas­sic is set to wel­come back de­fend­ing cham­pion and US Mas­ters win­ner Ser­gio Gar­cia as well as Amer­i­can Pat Perez. While the rest of the lineup is yet to be con­firmed, the pres­ence of Spi­ranac on the first tee was re­vealed by the golfer in a short video. Spi­ranac, 24, is fa­mil­iar with the Ma­jlis Course hav­ing made her pro­fes­sional de­but at Emi­rates Golf Club in 2015 when she was in­vited to com­pete at the Omega Dubai Ladies Mas­ters. She re­turned to play in the 2016 edi­tion where she was paired to play along­side Cheyenne Woods, the niece of golf great Tiger Woods.
