Spirinac set for new role at Dubai Desert Classic
Professional female golfer and Instagram star Paige Spiranac has announced that she will be the official starter at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic next year. Taking place at Emirates Golf Club on January 25-28, the Desert Classic is set to welcome back defending champion and US Masters winner Sergio Garcia as well as American Pat Perez. While the rest of the lineup is yet to be confirmed, the presence of Spiranac on the first tee was revealed by the golfer in a short video. Spiranac, 24, is familiar with the Majlis Course having made her professional debut at Emirates Golf Club in 2015 when she was invited to compete at the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters. She returned to play in the 2016 edition where she was paired to play alongside Cheyenne Woods, the niece of golf great Tiger Woods.
