After Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, Pep Guardiola said he would be playing golf instead of watching Manchester United’s match against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday. The City manager stayed true to his word, taking to the course at Sandiway Golf Club in Cheshire with his son, Marcus, and club pro Gareth Jones. The four-ball was completed by none other than golf’s world No 12 Tommy Fleetwood. Fleetwood, who in January defended his Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, was last in action at Augusta National where he finished tied-17th at the US Masters. While Guardiola was out on the course, United suffered a surprise defeat to bottom-of-the-league West Brom that confirmed City as champions with five games of the season remaining.
