UAE and China con­sider joint in­vest­ments

UAE and Chi­nese of­fi­cials ex­plored prospects for joint in­vest­ment and trade co­op­er­a­tion and part­ner­ships on the side­lines of the 15th China In­ter­na­tional Small & Medium En­ter­prise Fair in Guangzhou, the cap­i­tal of Guang­dong Prov­ince, at the week­end. The talks fo­cused on in­creas­ing co-op­er­a­tion in ar­eas such as trade, in­vest­ment, agri­cul­ture, tech­nol­ogy in­dus­tries, lo­gis­tics, in­fra­struc­ture, avi­a­tion, tourism and hospi­tal­ity, and air trans­port and air cargo. The UAE is tak­ing part as the first Arab part­ner of the fair, oc­cu­py­ing an area of 1,000 square me­tres at the venue, with 78 dif­fer­ent plat­forms ded­i­cated to the coun­try’s small and medium en­ter­prises. A trade del­e­ga­tion from UAE of more than 120 par­tic­i­pants, in­clud­ing 85 UAE en­trepreneurs and SME own­ers, at­tended the event.
