Orascom adds $520m in awards to backlog

Orascom Construction, listed in Dubai, added $520 million of new awards to its backlog in the third quarter of this year. Egypt accounted for about 60 per cent, while the US represented the balance. Consolidated backlog as of September 30 stood at $4.1 billion. New awards in Egypt were mainly in infrastructure and wastewater treatment, while in the US, Orascom signed new projects in the private-sector commercial and light industrial sectors.
