Stockholm, Sweden

Far-right on the march: Swedish neo-Nazis staged their biggest ever march through the centre of Stockholm on Saturday – hailing Donald Trump’s victory in the US election as a sign that a “world revolution was beginning”. About 600 members of the anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant Nordic Resistance Movement (NMR) – founded in 1997 – marched from a park in the Swedish capital to Mynttorget, a square adjacent to Sweden’s parliament building. At least five people were arrested, and about 50 others were removed from the march, after violence broke out between the neo-Nazis and anti-fascist protesters, who threw objects including fireworks, ice and snowballs at the NMR marchers.
