As­sault case: Grace Mu­gabe – seen by some as a suc­ces­sor to her ail­ing hus­band, Robert, as Zimabwe’s pres­i­dent – ap­pears to have fled jus­tice after be­ing ac­cused of as­sault­ing a woman in a Johannesburg ho­tel room. Gabriella En­gels, 20, ac­cused Mu­gabe (pic­tured) of beat­ing her with an ex­ten­sion cord after find­ing her with Mu­gabe’s two sons in the ho­tel room. En­gels needed 14 stitches to her face. Mu­gabe, 52, was due to ap­pear in court in Johannesburg this week, but ap­pears to have es­caped to Zim­babwe.
