Websites… for travelling
TripIt pools all your holiday reservations – from flights to restaurants – into a single, shareable itinerary. Just forward it your booking confirmation emails and it does the rest for you (www.tripit.com). Eater has exhaustive restaurant guides for a number of cities, including Tokyo, Paris and Lisbon. If you’re travelling in the US, take advantage of its surprisingly good recommendations for where to eat at the airport (www.eater.com). Routehappy is a search engine for flights that gives each airline a score, taking into account legroom, Wi-Fi and whether meals are provided. You can’t actually use it to book tickets, though; it’s just an information resource (www.routehappy.com). Weather2Travel offers detailed information about a huge number of destinations. Pick a month and it will tell you average temperatures, rainfall and hours of sunshine, as well as the times for sunrise and sunset (www.weather2travel.com).
