Santoni Autumn/winter 15/16 Collection

Virtuozity - - BOUTIQUE -

Santoni recently released its collection for the Autumn/winter season of 2015 and 2016, with the main theme being that of man conquering the concrete jungle in which he thrives.

Different styles combined in a research of the highest craftsmanship with a taste for unique detailing and contamination of styles. The collection describes an adventurous and proud man that never has to pretend—what Santoni describes as a contemporary observer. The brand adds that the disregard for the rules is the surprising common thread and the classical nature is the reassuring fil rouge.

Solutions and patterns combine and crossbreed shifting the formal detailing on the shoes, conceived for a stroll in the country and an unexpected touch in the reinvented classics. Gaiters, expression of refinement of the past, feature the precious riding boots in robust and luxurious leather. The iconic double buckle is applied to derby shoes as well as the composed yet transgressive boots and the dressy slip-ons, while metallic piping generate reflections on the fringes of the dandy brogue.

Elongated and sculpted in the new shapes, the lace-up shoes feature satin strings as hedonist accents; a recurrent detail found on the hand-painted hiking boots with velvet details conceived for a blacktie outfit. Slippers and fur moon boots evoke snowy landscapes and cozy chalets, while sturdy boots and farmer boots, revised in their essential and composed proportions, recall the world of outdoors.

Bags, backpacks and the classic briefcase are everything else this explorer needs. His distinctive element is represented by the double buckle.

The colour palette is organic and warm: shades of brown, hints of blue and touches of black. Hand laid patina bestows a tactile quality on the colours. The materials are brushed calfskin,

moose, crocodile, and fur.
