For the first time, Katara Cultural Village, close to Qatar’s capital Doha, will turn into an open-air automobile and classic car festival for outstanding vehicles when the first Concours d’elegance Qatar occurs from February 2 to 6, 2016.

The main focus of the multi-day event is the beauty contest, in which highclass historical vehicles with a fascinating background join and compete in different categories to win the favour of the jury, made up of experts in the fields of culture, technology, design, history and journalism. About 40 vehicles will be monitored and evaluated with regard to historic, technical and aesthetic aspects, as well as in regards to safety, authenticity and refinement of design.

The second highlight is the Festival of Classic Cars, taking place simultaneously. Classic car owners (with cars up to 1985 model year) will present their cars on the riverside promenade. The festival will also present design studies and prototypes from various epochs. Meanwhile, the event will also see the Rally Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, which will see rarities on four wheels hit the road throughout the desert scenery to reach the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, the biggest private museum in the world.
