Jaeger-lecoultre brings the essence of its brand to Villaggio Mall in Doha
Jaeger-lecoultre is set to bring the essence of the Swiss Manufacture in the Vallée de Joux to the contemporary setting of the Villaggio Mall in Doha, Qatar, from 26 November to 5 December 2015.
The exhibition will feature handcrafted timepieces presenting novelties, including the new Geophysic collection (pictured), the iconic Atmos, the Master Ultra Thin and Reverso collections.
The Geophysic collection was first unveiled in 1958—it was an instrument for scientists working in the International Geophysical Year. It was mostly a tool, and it could be used in the harshest of conditions, but naturally it became something of a collector’s item, due to the fact that it was extremely accurate and had an astonishing movement inside.
In 2015, Jaeger-lecoultre introduced the new Geophysic collection, which launched with two models—the True Second (which just displays time and date), and the Universal Time (a worldtimer). The former is powered by the Calibre 770, while the former uses the Calibre 772.
This movement and more will be on show at the exhibition, which will offer educational and inspiring insight into the realm of haute horology. It will also provide visitors with the opportunity to become immersed within the intricacies of precision watchmaking.
The exhibition, which lasts until early December, will be located in Via Domo, Ground Floor, Villaggio Mall, Doha.
