Officine Penerai unveils set of two watches said to be inspired by models created in 1996 Piaget launches the new Piaget Polo s timepiece for a new generation of game changers
Panerai Has unveiled the luminor 8 days set, made up of two watches, inspired by models created in 1966. the first is a left-handed version of the luminor Black seal, and the second is a rare luminor daylight with a white dial and blue markers.
the two pieces are presented in a special box, one that was typically used for vintage style luminor watches. the box itself is made of pear wood and contains a model of a human torpedo. it also features a rare excerpt about the military equipment of the special forces of the Royal italian navy, in which Panerai instruments and watches are featured.
Known for making exceptionally beautiful watches for the left handed, the luminor Black seal left-handed is just that. the timepiece has a sleek 44mm steel case with a special diamond like carbon coating, stylish and functional, it is also water resistant till up to 300 metres. the dial is black and features luminous arabic numerals and hour markers.
the luminor daylight 8 days is the other watch in set. the timepiece itself is a reproduction of a model originally made in 1996. the colour combination was removed from the line of watches after the initial roll out, yet it served as the inspiration for this particular model. what stands out about this timepiece is the striking contrast between the white dial and the deep blue coloured hands. to finish the piece in tonal harmony, there is a blue alligator leather strap. the luminor daylight 8 days has a 44 mm case and is made of aisi 316l stainless steel, complete with a polished finish.
Both watches are water-resistant to a depth of about 300 metres. the box in which they come in also includes a spare strap for each piece, as well as a screwdriver.
