BREITLING REINTRODUCES ICONIC NAVITIMER IN 1,884-PIECE LIMITED SERIES
PAYING TRIBUTE TO ITS history, Breitling has reintroduced the iconic Navitimer in an exclusive 1,884-piece limited series, paying homage to the brand’s founding in 1884.
Named the Navitimer 1884, the watch embodies classic elements of the original model including the famous 1952 aviation slide rule with a calendar featuring a pointer-type date display and twin day/ month apertures for which the brand was renowned in the 1940s. The model has also been revamped for the modern day, standing out with a 46 mm case which accentuates the design and optimizes dial readability.
Commenting on the model’s arrival in the region, Aed Adwan, Breitling Middle East said: “1884 first and foremost marks the year that Breitling was founded by Léon Breitling, an avid devotee of chronographs and precision instruments. We are paying tribute to this momentous year with the introduction of the Navitimer 1884, a limited series of the famous Navitimer which perfectly sums up Breitling’s vocation and passion.”
The Navitimer returns to the Middle East with a technical and powerful design, with an all-black dial made using the “par épagne” technique on a solid silver base brightened with red accents.
