THERE WAS NO SHORTAGE of extremely luxurious yachts displayed at the Dubai International Boat Show, but there was one that stood out among all others. The Silver Fast features lavish interiors, enough room for 18 guests and is not just one of the most stylish superyachts in the world – but also one of the fastest.
Designed by Espen Oeino, one of world’s famous yacht designers, the Silver Fast features the same super-sleep contour and unique hull lines of its much-prized predecessors, but with a striking new all dark silver paint. It is one of the most advanced, eco-fuel efficient vessel in the ground-breaking silver series.
Built by Australia’s premier luxury yacht builder, Silveryachts, the 77 metre vessel is capable of over 27 knots in optimal conditions, making it he world’s largest and fastest aluminium motor yacht with conventional propulsion in terms of length to speed ratio.
It is also the the fastest long range cruising yacht, capable of 4,500 nautical miles at 18 knots and 6,000 nautical miles at 14 knots. This means it is capable of crossing the Atlantic at approximately 22 knots cruising speed, which performance is record-breaking.
Driven by two MTU Engines with 2720kw @ 2100 rpm, Silver Fast is furthermore equipped with 3 Northern Lights Generators, 4x4 Quantum Zero Speed stabilisers and a unique innovative tender garage via distinctive gull wing doors.
The very modern and cool interior styling is complemented by a range of beautiful furnishings and art, creating spaces that are both welcoming and contemporary. Guest accommodations are spread across three decks, in seven en suite cabins, ensuring privacy and sumptuous spaces.
At 18 - 20 knots the yacht is quiet and vibration-free making it perfect for fast and fuel-efficient long overnight passages with low noise levels around 40/45 decibels.
Of particular note is the owner’s living space, which is spread across a full deck and boasts a spacious lounge leading to a private deck, as well as a luxurious cabin with 180-degree views, his and hers en suites and a study area.
