Abu Dhabi’s newest Indian restaurant Tamba features a dish called Chicken 65 on the menu. It’s a plate of battered chicken bites served on a sizzling skillet and there are two legends behind this dish’s name: the first is that the original recipe had 65 spices in its sauce, the second is that it was the 65th dish on the menu at an English officers’ club in India. It was the most popular item on the menu and was always simply referred to as Chicken 65 by diners.
