Following two Portuguese Jesuit priests (Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver) searching for their missing mentor (Liam Neeson) in 17th century Japan, this longawaited adaptation of Shusak End’s 1966 novel delves into the inner depths of human spirituality. Both Garfield and Driver command every scene; Oscar nods would not come as a shock.
