The Grammy-winning artist brings his Latin dance hits to Dubai

-

Being the son of Julio Iglesias means having some seriously big shoes to fill, but popstar Enrique Iglesias has more than lived up to his famous name. Since bursting onto the scene in 1995 with his Grammy-winning self-titled debut album, he’s gone on to sell more than 137 million records, including 13 Billboard No 1s. In 2016, the Latin American Music Awards named Iglesias Artist Of The Year.

Over the past 22 years, he has gone through something of an evolution too, transforming from a ballad-crooning heartthrob to a bonafide dance music star. In fact, no male solo artist has had more No 1s on Billboard’s dance chart – not even Prince or Michael Jackson. Add the fact that the music video for his 2014 single Bailando still holds the record for most YouTube views of any Spanish music videos ever (1.8 billion and counting), and it’s clear that no one else comes close to matching him.

Jazz Fest won’t be the Hero singer’s first time in the UAE; he performed in Abu Dhabi at the What’s On Award-winning music festival Yasalam 2015, at the Formula 1 after race concerts on a bill that also included Florence and the Machine, and Blur. February 22 to 24
