PERAST
Proving that you simply can’t run out of breathtaking views in Montenegro, Perast may be a tiny, one-street town, but it is also truly exquisite to look at. Gazing out into the mouth of the Boka, the town’s restored palazzos are among the country’s most expensive and grand, but Perast’s highlights are actually situated on water – it’s two picturesque island churches, the Benedictine Abbey Of Sveti Djordje and the 15thcentury Our Lady Of The Rocks, steal centre stage in every photograph.
Top tip: Locals with taxi boats abound in peak season, meaning there’s no need to join the hordes on an organised tour boat. Expect to pay Dhs40 to Dhs50 to a private owner for a short cruise visiting both islands.
