EDITOR’S LETTER

What's On (Dubai) - - EDITOR’S LETTER -

I love a list. I love having something written down, clear and concise, that can be ticked off in an orderly fashion as I go along. Done it, done it, needs to be done.

Lists appeal to my inner obsessive – and when I start a list, I need to finish it. Tick it all off. All accounted for, all done, tick, tick, tick.

I’m like that even for fun – when I’m collecting something (records, trainers, whatever), I’m a completist, so I can’t just have one or two of them, I have to have the entire back catalogue. Of course I do – so I can tick them off the list.

(Yeah, I appreciate there are probably a few amateur psychologists – and maybe the odd professional psychologist, too – making some very descriptive notes about now.) Imagine my delight, then, at this month’s What’s

On cover feature – the ultimate list for Dubai – fifty, fun Dubai things you have to do and, of course, tick off your list.

Away from obsessive list ticking, this month we’ve also explored Dubai’s eco side (p18), checked out the city’s burgeoning live music scene (p42), and bring you everything you need to know about eating vegan in the emirate (p34).

Enjoy the issue.
