680bhp SRT Viper GT3-R with more bite— set to dominateworldwide GT competition

Private race teams

planning to compete in GT3 classes, rejoice! Your car is here. This is the SRT Viper GT3-R— a V10-powered beast that looks set to dominate world-class competitions. It’s the latest generation of the Viper GTS-R and has been developed by Chrysler Group’s SRT Motorsports team. That means this is a serious piece of kit.

Built in collaboration with Riley Technologies, the GT3-R features a chassis equipped with an aerodynamic package to help improve handling, not to mention an Xtrac six-speed sequential transmission with paddle shifters, six-piston front-brake callipers with four-piston rears, lightweight wheels and a multi-disc race clutch. A stock Viper is no slouch, producing 640bhp and 813Nm of torque, but the GT3-R’s unrestricted V10 is much madder; it has 680bhp and 867Nm of torque. Wowsers!

In a track world that is largely dominated by Porsches, the new SRT Viper GT3-R looks set to ruffle a few feathers.

SRT Viper GT3-R uses many of the same performance technologies as the GTS-R
