The Vincent in the Barn Where

It all began with 2010’s
written by Tom Cotter with a foreword by Jay Leno. The somewhat amateurishly produced title nevertheless gripped readers with true barn-find stories— the dream of every car nut; finding a priceless gem tucked away in an old widow’s shed. Cotter followed up with
in the Barn
and Hemi in the Barn, each documenting several barn-finds stretching well beyond the title cars. Naturally not every barn stores hidden treasures, so the author has recently had to move towards two-wheeled stash.
The Vincent in the Barn, then, is Cotter’s latest title, with far better production values than the series’ lowly beginnings, but just as riveting to read. Even if you’re not into bikes, it’s the hunt and the find that makes the series work so well, not to mention that these stories are all true-life anecdotes from famous collectors such as Leno, and Dale Walksler, owner of a renowned motorcycle museum.
The book is a great heart-warming read— who doesn’t want to save an old Ducati?— not to mention a perfect time-filler, until Cotter amasses yet another collection of four-wheeled ‘
in the Barn’ tales to publish.
