The Travelling Theatre comes To Dubai

This weekend, Mumbai- based Prithvi Theatre is coming to DUCTAC, Mall of the Emirates, and it’s bringing some big names and loads of talent for Dubai’s thespians and theatre aficionados alike. Nothing like Lear, starring Vinay Pathak, on April 29 at 8pm, is an adaptation of the classic Shakespearean tale told through a clown’s comic melancholy. On Saturday, April 30, is The Glass Menagerie, also starting at 8pm. On May 1, at 8pm, Kaifi aur Main, starring Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar will take the stage. The Urdu play is a celebration of renowned Urdu poet, writer, and revolutionary, Kaifi Azmi’s life, as perceived through the eyes of his wife, Shaukat Kaifi.
