Are these the ultimate shoes for swim-run adventures?

220 Triathlon Magazine - - KIT ZONE -

We came across these in our quest to find the perfect footwear for swim-run, and were impressed when we wore them for both Ö-till-Ö races and training. Designed to keep feet free of debris, the bellows-style tongue and bootiestyle fit stopped gravel and muck getting in, while they also have quick drainage. Traction is good on mud and grass and, although they slipped a little on the worst of the glass-like rocks, they’re way better than most. We like the Merrell fit, too; they’re not too narrow and are minimalist enough to give good feel for the ground – although they’re not for those of you who want loads of cushioning. Race season done, we’ll happily keep these on rotation for winter trail runs. HW
