LIGHT SCENES WITH REAL SKIES

One of the best ways I've found to get pho­to­re­al­is­tic re­sults is to light scenes us­ing HDRI maps. In­stead of a flat sky­light, HDRIS add de­tails that help to fake the bouncy look It’s okay to use the same meshes over and over again. If you have a de­tailed 3D as­set such as a pho­togram­me­try rock, you'll find that it can look to­tally dif­fer­ent de­pend­ing on how you ro­tate, trans­late and scale it. The other ad­van­tage is that du­pli­cated as­sets use the same tex­ture maps so you're sav­ing GPU mem­ory by re-us­ing the same ob­jects.
