LIGHT SCENES WITH REAL SKIES
One of the best ways I've found to get photorealistic results is to light scenes using HDRI maps. Instead of a flat skylight, HDRIS add details that help to fake the bouncy look It’s okay to use the same meshes over and over again. If you have a detailed 3D asset such as a photogrammetry rock, you'll find that it can look totally different depending on how you rotate, translate and scale it. The other advantage is that duplicated assets use the same texture maps so you're saving GPU memory by re-using the same objects.
