3D Artist - - THE PIPELINE -

When sculpting wears and tears in fabric or scratches in objects like real swords, consider the storytelling of their application. How did the character receive this damage? Would the attack propagate any further imperfections anywhere else on their body? Is the material responding in a realistic, convincing manner? Following these rules when detailing will help you not only to tell a story through your sculpt, but also further enhance your sculpt’s strong composition. As such, you should consider the rules of composition when you create these details.
